We have a lot of dentists ask us, “Why do I need Commercial General Liability Insurance if I don’t own my building?” The underlying idea is that the Landlord has commercial general liability, (CGL), why should the tenant need it too?
As Barry Dodd say’s in his YouTube video, (see below), “the answer is quite simple, if you have clients come into your office and they slip and fall in the parking lot they can sue you and they can sue the Landlord. Both of you are going to be involved in the lawsuit. You will need to protect yourself, and defend yourself from that liability suit.”
